The start up logo.

This is no more than an annoyance but the GLB boot logo(don't know the correct term) seems to be taking quite a long time to remove itself from the screen. When the IDE boots up and its asking for a project, it sits in the middle of the screen, obscuring my view, for a good 5 seconds. I though that it may be checking for updates but its doing this even after an update has been detected.

Yeah mine doesn't go away until you click it. And yet you can carry on using GLB with it there. Any chance of a timeout or the very least kill it once you click anywhere on the IDE?

Click it.
Ahhh, I didn't know that, I was going to posted the same thing.  It does seem to remain on the screen longer now, either that or my hard disk has sped up, which is highly doubtful.
Nothing like self-promotion I 'spose.   :D

I was going to mention this too...seems to be haning around an awfull long time. Can it not be removed for registered users ?

Slydog

I found an old forum post where I asked about this: (2nd last line)

Either remove it for registered users as suggested by Minion, or have it fade quickly upon mouse hover.
Or make it semi-transparent, and allow input through the window to select your project.

But, I can live with it I suppose!   :x

Ang on don't remove it. Sometimes it takes a while for GLB to load (esp after an upgrade) and you don't want to think it crashed.

Why not do something like Vuze does? Basically as it loads it converts the black and white logo into colour. Essentially a flashy progress bar. Hmm, maybe overthinking things there. Why not just do a progress bar on the loading screen and then remove the whole loading screen when it is 100%? Maybe for un-registered uses make the last 10% last a little longer if you want to drill it in...
